About the Course
In BS Dietetics, students learn about human nutrition, food science, dietary assessment, medical nutrition therapy, community nutrition, and food service management. They study topics such as macronutrients, micronutrients, metabolism, nutritional needs across the lifespan, and nutrition counseling techniques.
Throughout the program, students gain practical experience through internships, clinical rotations, or community nutrition projects, where they work under the supervision of registered dietitians to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.
The goal of BS Dietetics is to prepare graduates to become registered dietitians or nutritionists. Graduates may pursue careers in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, public health agencies, schools, food service establishments, research institutions, or private practice.
