About the Course

Curriculum:

  1. International Relations Theory: Core courses in international relations theory cover the major theoretical perspectives and approaches to the study of international politics, including realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theory. Students examine the historical evolution of international relations theory and its relevance to contemporary global issues.

Global Governance and Institutions: Studies in global governance and institutions focus on the structures, functions, and dynamics of international organizations, such as the United Nations, World Bank, and International Monetary Fund. Students learn about the role of international institutions in addressing global challenges, promoting peace and security, and advancing international cooperation.

  3. Security Studies: Courses in security studies examine the causes, dynamics, and management of international security threats, including conflict, terrorism, weapons proliferation, and humanitarian crises. Students learn about security theories, conflict resolution techniques, peacekeeping operations, and the role of military and non-military actors in security governance.

  4. Foreign Policy Analysis: Studies in foreign policy analysis explore the decision-making processes and strategies of states and non-state actors in the conduct of foreign policy. Students learn about the factors that influence foreign policy formulation, including domestic politics, international norms, economic interests, and strategic calculations.

  5. Diplomacy and Negotiation: Courses in diplomacy and negotiation cover the principles and practices of diplomatic communication, negotiation techniques, mediation, and conflict resolution.
